Manages Appointment Scheduler and Check -in /Check -out process
Serves as a liaison between MCHC and IDD residential group home staff members to ensure that they are supported in setting up telehealth visits.
Create, reschedule, or cancel appointments and provide appointment card.
Manages Check -in and facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patients' arrival. Ensures that patients and providers are notified of appointment delays via telehealth platform
Calls patient to remind them of their appointment and to submit applicable documents needed, (Initial visit, hospital follow -up) Request information at least one day prior to patient appointment.
Check out visit immediately after the provider has entered the documentation in electronic health record and provide patient with documents needed at end of visit via patient portal
Serves as a liaison and coordinate information between providers, other clinical staff, and patients.
Maintains post at front desk and monitors the patient flow via virtual platform and at health center.
Greets patients and visitors, screens, and refers telephone calls, and provides information to patients as requested.
Distributes patient satisfactory surveys and explains its importance.
May assist patient in distress by responding and following emergency protocol.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma
Knowledge of eClinical Works electronic health record software preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
A t least 2 years’ experience working as a Medical Receptionist or similar position in an Article 28 or Federally Qualified Health Center.
Performs all job responsibilities in full compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Adheres to the agency’s corporate compliance program, including the code of business contact, the NYS and federal false claims acts, whistle blower protections and mandatory reporting. Completes corporate compliance training at least annually. Fully cooperates in all compliance investigations and reviews.
ALL EMPLOYEES MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19 in order to work at Metro Community Health Centers.
